Dear Diary - cleanse...wash off the dust...refresh the parched limbs...let the waters rush over the thirsting strands...

	Masses of reed surrender to the rushing cathartic action of the rain laden river...they are bent with the force of the flow, lying down to experience the gentle chirapsia of the waters...
	Rippling white noise is tinged with an arhythmic plipping and plopping of the rushing waters... Listen to a sound bite from this location... (*.mp3 format, 940KB)
	The cold, moist air stings slightly as I breath in its deliciously wet and verdurous perfumes...
	Slippery and slushy, the banks of the creek are mud ski slopes...it is a miracle I haven't taken a slide into the icy wetness of the creek's water...my tripod feet slide and slip and I end up wearing raised soles of mud and vegetation...
	Take the essence of a cabbage and mix it freely with plenty of the freshest, cleanest, most oxygenated (but not carbonated) mineral water you can find...serve chilled...

Dear Diary - going with the flow - sometimes there's not much choice...you just seem to get caught up in it all...

	Blurs of white water waves and ripples...swishes of pale, oxygenated coursings wash through the cold blue-green rushings of the rain glutted creek...an autumn parched reed reaches out a tendril to dip and bob amongst the effervescence...
	Rilling ripples...percolations...bubbles of oxygen plopping from the tumbling, frothing waters...laughter hidden in the russshing, burblings... Listen to a sound bite from this location... (*.mp3 format, 940KB)
	Does water smell...? There is definitely a cleansing and clear note of it on air here...
	Wet...it is wet, but not unpleasant in any way...sometimes it is precariously slippery, too, especially when I am near the water's edge...
	Think of the most refreshing drink of invigorating, crystal clear water, icy cold and pure, that you have ever had in your life...prosit...

Dear Diary - been having a bit of fun regurgitating my film cassette and holding objects like this feather on the surface of the next photo in the pack in very low light then popping the pack back in to see what the shadows are like. This is one result - a feather shadow...

Dear Diary - soon after one of those huge electrical storms that tend to build up on those hot and humid NY summer days then release with a disply of power that can only be observed with wonder and awe...also, a side benefit was that we were forced to refuge in a lovely little restaurant ("Steamer's Landing", I think) and enjoy a delicious meal whilst being entertained by the thunderous light show...

Dear Diary - QF93 to L.A. will never end. The constant intrusive white noise, the half comotose life I have entered into with these other people, all stacked in rows staring bleary eyed at screens set in seat backs. Stumbling to the toilet on unsteady, cramped legs...
